Spring is well underway.
The weather is finally warming up and the golden rays of sunshine are stretching daylight hours. Its the perfect time to reflect on some of the positive initiatives and celebrate the good things that are happening. In this edition, we profile three of these.
Chaplains work in a variety of settings, building relationships, providing encouragement and understanding. For people needing a compassionate person to talk to, the Uniting Church provides chaplains to help serve our community.
Likewise, the Northern Synod has been at the coal face in translating the Bible into indigenous languages, making it accessible to more Australians.
Both of these invaluable initiatives are partially funded by our investors, proving that simply by investing with UC Invest, good things can happen.
Finally, we place a spotlight on Safe Church, the Uniting Church in Australia's commitment to ensure a safe physical, emotional and spiritual environment for us all. The Church has a number of policies and documents relating to this program, which I encourage you to review.
This month I celebrated my twentieth year at UC Invest. Many things have changed over that time, but lots of good things have been constant. I would like to thank the many knowledgeable board members and staff that I have had the privilege to serve with over the past 20 years. UC Invest is a busy place, and without the dedicated and conscientious staff, it wouldnt be what it is today. Thank you it has been a wonderful and stimulating place to come to work every day.
